2013: the first private hydropower plant in Reunion Island.
On 6 December 2013, ALTERELEC commissioned a plant on the Irrigation du Littoral Ouest network at Head Reservoir No. 4 in L’Ermitage. The system recovers energy from water arriving at approximately 5 bar, energy that had previously been dissipated.
